We got tired ofoverpayingfor data abroad. So we built something better.
This is the real story behind MiloAway: our founder landing in Bangkok with no signal, on a £38 eSIM he'd already paid for. That one moment is the entire reason this site exists.

1 bar. For £7.50, this is what you get.
No plan, no signal, no idea what he was about to build.

Now he builds this instead of ranting about it.
How it started
A phone bill thatdid not compute.
It began with a trip to Thailand. Our founder bought an eSIM from one of the big names before he flew out, and still got the same story every traveller knows: a steep price, and data that barely worked once he actually landed.
30-Day Unlimited Data

Nope.
Standing there, jet-lagged and overpaying for a basic data plan, one question stuck with him: why does staying connected abroad cost this much?
What he found
Big brands. Bigger marketing budgets.
(sound familiar?)
Back home, he started digging into how the eSIM industry actually works. The pattern was clear: a handful of big-name providers control most of the market, and a lot of what travellers pay doesn't go toward data at all.
There had to be a way to flip that: cut the marketing machine, and pass what's saved straight back to the traveller.
Why MiloAway exists
Built for travellers,not marketing budgets.
MiloAway skips the ad blitz and the overhead of running a 200+ country platform with many plan tiers, and puts that saving into the price instead. We built it around how travel actually feels: it's already an expensive time, and the last thing anyone wants is to overpay just to do normal things — checking a map, messaging home, booking a taxi.
When you're far from home, anything can happen. Having reliable data shouldn't be one more thing to worry about.
